This course covers Smart Contracts in four parts so that at the end you know not only what a smart contract is, but also some of the applications already using them. You will understand the power a blockchain brings to apps via the use of smart contracts.
In Part 1, we explain the basics of what a smart contract is and give some example use cases. In Part 2, we look at a more involved use-case: a smart contract designed to perform the function of an escrow. In Part 3, we present two apps using smart contracts, one by Etherisc for insurance, and the other by uPort for identity management. In Part 4, we look at how smart contracts are used in crowdfunding and ICO's, and two types of Ethereum tokens, ERC-20 and ERC-721.
